Part A – Overview
Interpretation and Application
The Exchange Rules form a key part of the NextBetZone platform’s Terms and Conditions and apply exclusively to all transactions conducted on the Exchange. These rules also cover Exchange Multiples (see below), but are separate from those governing Fixed Odds or Sportsbook bets.
The Exchange Rules consist of the following:
- Part A – Introduction;
- Part B – General Rules applicable across all sports;
- Part C – Sport-Specific Rules for individual disciplines and markets;
- Market Information found via the “i” icon on each market page.
If not stated otherwise, General Rules apply to all Exchange bets. If there's any contradiction, Sport-Specific Rules take priority over General Rules, and Market Information takes precedence over both, unless explicitly noted.
In the absence of sport-specific regulations (e.g., for novelty or niche markets), only the General Rules and Market Information will be applicable.
Each product on NextBetZone (e.g., Exchange, Sportsbook) is governed by its own rule set. Settlement processes and outcomes may vary between them. Always ensure you're familiar with the rules tied to the platform you’re using.
About Market Information
Every market contains a Market Information section that outlines how it will be managed and settled. This content should be read alongside the broader rules and may highlight essential settlement conditions, but should not be viewed as a full substitute for the rulebook.
NextBetZone reserves the right to suspend or modify any market at its sole discretion for operational or integrity reasons, even if not mentioned in the Market Information. Once a market is live, Market Information may only be changed to correct inaccuracies or clarify existing text.
User Responsibility
It is each customer’s obligation to understand and review all applicable rules prior to placing bets. Market Information alone may not contain all critical terms, particularly for custom or speculative markets.
Dispute Resolution & IBAS
Any dispute over bet outcomes or settlement procedures will be handled per NextBetZone’s internal resolution process. Where the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) finds in favor of a user, we may:
- Adjust affected settlements and update account balances accordingly; or
- Offer compensation reflecting what should have been paid under the ruling.
Key Exchange Features
Best Price Matching
This feature ensures your bet is matched at the most favorable available odds. Enabled by default, it automatically upgrades your odds if better prices appear after placing your bet. If turned off, your bet will not be matched at improved odds and may lapse.
MatchMe
MatchMe is a feature that increases the likelihood of your bet being matched by adjusting the odds within a predefined range. You can turn it on per bet or globally via settings. If a match cannot be made within the limits, your original bet remains unchanged.
Cross-Matching
Cross-matching helps improve liquidity and matching across markets. It includes:
- Within-market matching: Matching across different selections in the same market;
- Between-market matching: Comparing odds across related markets to optimize execution.
This process uses the NextBetZone odds ladder and may produce small margins. Only used when beneficial to the customer, all unmatched bets at identical odds are matched in chronological order.
Part B – General Exchange Rules
1. Live Market Handling
1.1 Standard Practice
If a market isn’t meant to be in-play and isn’t suspended at the right time, any post-start bets may be void. For scheduled events, bets matched after kickoff or start will be canceled. When timing is unclear, NextBetZone will determine a fair “start time.”
1.2 Suspension Failures
If a market set to go in-play isn’t suspended or reopened properly, bets placed after the intended start but before the market reactivates may be void.
1.3 Football & VAR
If a Material Event (goal, red card, penalty) is not followed by suspension, NextBetZone may void all bets placed afterward. If VAR overturns the event, those in-between bets are voided; if confirmed, bets stand.
1.4 Horse/Greyhound Races
Bets matched after the race starts will typically be void if suspension fails—unless explicitly allowed (e.g., Australian markets with in-play permissions).
2. Market Settlements
2.1 Normal Settlement
Outcomes are decided using Market Info and sport-specific rules. If no result is available, trusted sources or governing body declarations apply. Updates within 24 hours may adjust settlement.
2.2 Revisions
Early-settled markets may be reviewed and adjusted if the final result changes or the event is canceled.
2.3 Non-Runners
Unless stated, bets on withdrawn participants are void. Participants who start but don’t finish are settled as losses if others complete the event.
2.4 Named Participant Markets
In markets tied to a specific entrant (e.g., “Winner with Federer”), all bets are void if that entrant does not participate.
3. Schedule Changes
If an event isn’t completed within 72 hours, unsettled bets may be void. Tournament rulings by officials within 90 days are honored.
4. Time-Specific Bets
Bets apply to regulation time (e.g., 90 minutes + injury time in football), unless otherwise noted.
5. Head-to-Head Bets
Settled based on who finishes higher or progresses further. If neither competes, the bet is void.
6. Qualification Markets
Settlement is based solely on qualification. Later disqualification doesn’t change outcome.
7. Dead Heats
In the event of a tie, payouts are split proportionally among the winning bets.
8. Starting Price (SP)
The SP system calculates odds at market close. SP bets can’t be canceled and may be subject to minimum stake rules. Errors may result in adjustment or voiding.
9. Keep Bets
Keep Bets remain active in-play if selected. However, NextBetZone may cancel them for fairness (e.g., late withdrawals).
10. Tote Betting
Tote wagers placed on NextBetZone are mirrored into external pools. Official Tote rules apply where needed.
11. Cash Out Tools
11.1 Manual Cash Out
Lets you secure a win or limit a loss before event completion. Availability may vary.
11.2 Auto Cash Out
Automatically triggers a cash out once a pre-set profit is reached. Execution not guaranteed in fast-moving markets.
12. General Terms
All times are local to the event. NextBetZone may void or adjust markets in case of obvious errors or technical issues. Rules may be updated without notice and apply to all future markets. In language discrepancies, the interpretation favoring the customer prevails.
Part C – Sport-Specific Rules (Highlights)
American Football
Bets include overtime unless otherwise stated. Matches incomplete within 3 days are voided unless 55+ minutes were played.
Basketball
Overtime counts. NBA games must last 43 minutes to stand; other leagues, 35. If not finished, only confirmed outcomes are settled.
Soccer
All markets include stoppage time but exclude extra time unless noted. VAR decisions may trigger voiding based on timing and official confirmation.
Tennis
Bets are void if a player retires before one full set is completed. Changes to surfaces or venues don’t invalidate settled outcomes.
